Galileo Surgical is an innovative group that questions conventional wisdom  to make minimally invasive surgery safer, innovative and practical. As the CEO of Galileo, I introduced laparoscopic surgery in North America in 1987. Most surgeons were sceptical of the advantage of telescopic surgery then. By 1990 laparoscopic surgery became the greatest revolution that surgery has ever witnessed. Between 1987 and 1990 I introduced laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic colon surgery, laparoscopic oesophago-gastrectomy. In 1993 I introduced hand assisted laparoscopic surgery (HALS).

All of these developments have helped the science of minimally invasive surgery. The introduction of Isobaric or gasless surgery empowers surgeons to perform faster, safer surgery. Dexterity is the only device available to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and related viruses and pathogens in plume generated by laparoscopic surgery.
